LOS ANGELES (February 7, 2022) – The Los Angeles Rams and The Wallace Firm, through their partnership and newly launched “WallaceWins.com Heart & Hustle Award” honoring community heroes, have announced its second recipient of the award: John Jones III. Jones is the co-founder and president of the East Side Riders Bike Club, a volunteer organization in South Central Los Angeles whose mission is to provide meaningful recreational activities for local youth to keep them out of gang-related activity through bike programs and community service in the Watts and Compton neighborhoods. The “WallaceWins.com Heart & Hustle Award” recognizes local champions who demonstrate values at the heart of both organizations: a team-first, winning mentality characterized by perseverance, resilience, and courage. Watch John’s emotional reaction to the honor and surprise

Surrounded by his family, friends and fellow East Side Riders Bike Club members, the video captures Bradley Wallace, The Wallace Firm’s President, and Founder, presenting John with the community hero award, as well as a custom Rams jersey, a $5,000 donation to the East Side Riders Bike Club, and two tickets to SoFi Stadium for the Rams big game this Sunday, February 13.

“We are thrilled to be able to honor John with this award because he exemplifies the core values of what it means to be a community hero and his determination and strength is making a lasting impact in our Los Angeles community,” commented Wallace, a personal injury and wrongful death lawyer. “He also happens to be a die-hard Rams fan, so in addition to our charitable contribution to his organization, we felt it would be awesome to also give him two tickets to the Rams big game this Sunday as a sincere thank you for the years of hard work he has selflessly given to our community. We are thrilled with this opportunity and we are committed to continuing the impact The Wallace Firm has set out to create with this award.”

“John and the East Side Riders have become trusted community partners of the Los Angeles Rams because we have witnessed firsthand not only John’s heart and hustle but his tremendous impact in Watts,” said Molly Higgins, Vice President of Community Affairs and Engagement, Los Angeles Rams. “As he expands services to Compton, we are thrilled that our partners at The Wallace Firm wanted to recognize his work to inspire change in our community in such a meaningful way. We can’t wait to have him in the Rams House on Sunday.”

More about John Jones III

Having grown up in Watts, John was tuned into the needs and opportunities within the area from a young age. Watts and Compton are rife with high rates of health issues among youth, lack safe areas that are clear from gang-related activity, as well as the necessary resources for simple transportation needs like bikes. John, recognizing the need for serious improvement in the area, set out to teach and encourage others how to safely ride bikes with friends in the area, while simultaneously delivering meals to those in need, providing a safe place for kids to hang out and stay out of trouble, and providing after school tutoring. The East Side Riders Bike Club now holds monthly rides as 20 to 40 volunteers come together and carry out John’s vision. Learn more about the organization here.

In addition to having a strong brand presence at SoFi Stadium on game days, The Wallace Firm also sponsored a “Rams Win, You Win” sweepstakes, which provided a VIP game day experience for a lucky fan and three guests.
