Thomas Burns is a Partner and Trial Attorney at The Wallace Firm, PC, where he represents plaintiffs in serious personal injury and wrongful death matters. Mr. Burns has extensive experience litigating cases involving catastrophic injuries, wrongful death, premises liability, motor vehicle and pedestrian collisions, dangerous conditions of public property, and other complex injury claims.
Throughout his career, Mr. Burns has helped obtain significant results for his clients, including numerous seven-figure verdicts and settlements. He was a member of the trial teams that obtained a $4 million jury verdict and a $1.56 million jury verdict against the City of Los Angeles, and he has been involved in numerous multimillion-dollar settlements on behalf of injured clients and their families. Mr. Burns approaches each case with an emphasis on thorough preparation, practical strategy, and achieving the best possible result for his clients.
Mr. Burns has been selected as a Southern California Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine every year from 2022 through 2027. He was also named to The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40 – Civil Plaintiff in 2024.
Mr. Burns earned his Bachelor of Arts in English and Philosophy from the University of San Diego and his Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law, where he was the recipient of the school’s Creative Problem Solving Scholarship.
Mr. Burns resides in Moorpark with his wife and three children. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his family and cheering for the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Green Bay Packers.
